Competition Details

We have a holiday for two as part of our Jerusalem Oud Festival trip (November 21-28, 2008) to give away.

To enter simply answer the following:

What type of instrument is an oud?

Conditions

Includes flights, hotel accommodation and tickets to the festival for two people travelling together. Travel must originate from the UK. Flights are in economy class and are subject to availability. The tickets are non-transferable and have no cash value. Accommodation will be a twin/double room and will include breakfast.

This prize is non-negotiable, non-refundable and does not include insurance or transfers in the UK. If the trip is cancelled due to insufficient numbers, then the winner will automatically get offered the next departure date to Jerusalem or an alternative tour.

Closing date for entries is July 3, 2008. Only one entry per household. Winners will be chosen at random and notified by telephone by July 4, 2008.

The Itinerary

Day 1

Depart from London on overnight flight to Tel Aviv.

Day 2

Arriving at Tel Aviv in the early morning, you are met by our Songlines Travel Leader and coach, and drive up to Jerusalem, where we check into our hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after the flight or perhaps stroll into the city of Jerusalem. In the evening we will head for Confederation House, or one of the other venues for the Oud Festival, to enjoy our first evening of music.

Day 3

After breakfast our guide meets us to take us on a morning city tour of this complex city, packed with so much history. After a free afternoon we return to the Oud Festival for the evening’s performance.

Days 4-7

In Jerusalem. During these four days, your time is your own during the day, with the option of spending time exploring the modern city or the narrow streets of Old Jerusalem. Or you may care to arrange, via your Songlines Travel Leader an excursion to other places of interest within Israel. And each evening the festival beckons.
