Chilean hip-hop dissenter Ana Tijoux is set to release her first new album in nine years, VIDA. While the exact date of the full-length’s eventual emergence remains something of a mystery, the singer has shared a lead-single from it, ‘Niñx’, an infectious, whirring fusion of rap, reggaeton and experimental Latin-pop beats. About the track’s sanguine message, Tijoux says: “This song is born as a manifesto to the child we all have inside us. That living being that is capable of dreaming and building infinite castles of humanity and love.” Check out the Camila Grandi-directed video for the track below.

Tijoux will be hitting Europe this summer for a series of live performances, including a sure-to-be-glorious stop-off at this year’s WOMAD event at Charlton Park (July 27-30).
