Cambridge Folk Festival 2024: First Names Revealed

Robert Plant’s Saving Grace and an exclusive Transatlantic Sessions showcase among the early highlights for this summer’s iteration of the celebrated music summit, which marks its 60th anniversary this year

Trad folk champions, roots maneuverers, riotous bluegrass revivalists and cutting-edge genre-splicers all prepare to converge once more at the picturesque grounds of Cherry Hinton Hill as the annual Cambridge Folk Festival unveils the first wave of exceptional artists set to take to its stages between July 25-28.

Topping this year’s enticing bill is the legendary Robert Plant, who will be accompanied by his unique collective, Saving Grace, featuring vocalist Suzi Dian, while the phenomenal Transatlantic Sessions will be in attendance to deliver a UK-festival exclusive, celebrating the rich traditions connecting Scotland, Ireland and the US with an outstanding line-up boasting Aoife O’Donovan, Tommy Emmanuel, Karen Matheson, and the sensational roots duo, Allison De Groot & Tatiana Hargreaves.

Others names already announced for Cambridge Folk Festival 2024 include Nitin Sawhney, Peggy Seeger, Oysterband. Dani Larkin, Fantastic Negrito, Katherine Priddy, Mitsune, Ralph McTell, Raghu Dixit, Nora Brown & Stephanie Coleman, Talisk and Larkin Poe, with plenty more still to come.
