The bonus CD with the December 2020 issue of Songlines (#163) is chock full of world music artists based in Switzerland. As compiler, Roberto Haçaturyan of artlink, says:

'This summer I was on an exploratory tour across the Swiss music landscape. While on the hunt for the unheard, post-migrant, transcultural sounds of Switzerland, I encountered strikingly original, world-class music that touched me to the core. While certain artists have postponed their releases during the pandemic, others have forged ahead, aiming to reflect the zeitgeist and embrace the NOW.

Switzerland is a country of immigration, amply represented in this collection of works where Swiss folk music collides with Balkan rhythms and punk meets Peruvian chicha. Along this journey, I uncovered musical gems that, in my view, more than merit their place on international playlists. This compilation offers a prime opportunity to discover sounds from across the world, from the small corner that is Switzerland, presented in cooperation with the Swiss Arts Council PRO HELVETIA and FONDATION SUISA.'
