Vocalist/flautist Ríoghnach Connolly and guitarist Stuart McCallum, aka critically-acclaimed alt-folkies The Breath, release their third album, Land of My Other, via Real World Records on October 13. The full-length features ten original cuts, alive with the pair’s trademark melodicism and creativity, recalling everyone from Fleetwood Mac to The Innocence Mission, while dealing with frothy themes of adolescence, historical mischief, magic and lore.

Providing an emotional foretaste of the album’s forthcoming attractions is ‘Don’t Rush It’, a rousing zen-like celebration of living in-the-moment, with Connolly sagely philosophising in the lyrics: ‘If it all falls tomorrow, be glad of today.’

In support of Land of My Other, The Breath have announced two live shows, with the album’s official launch taking place at the Union Chapel, London on October 16, before a follow-up headline slot at this year’s Manchester Folk Festival at the New Century Hall, Manchester on October 21.
