This podcast includes highlights from the May 2007 issue of Songlines (#43),
opening with a track from the debut album 'Zamazu' on Enja, by the Cuban
pianist Roberto Fonseca. We also have a track on this podcast from Andy
Kershaw's Radio 4 featured Desert Island Discs selection - 'Hupenyu Hwangu'
by The Bhundu Boys from their album The Shed Sessions.
 
Other features on the podcast include: Lucy Durán introducing the great
Malian ngoni player Bassekou Kouyate - playing the title track from their
new album Segu Blue on Out Here Records; Ed Stocker gives an overview of the
forthcoming French presidential elections from a hip-hop perspective with
