Songlines editor, Simon Broughton, plays an extract from Cape Verdean singer Mayra Andrade's debut album 'Navega' on Sterns - she’s playing at the Barbican on March 16.
 
Nat Handy brings us the latest news including a report on the Songlines @ 50 concerts at the Jazz Café (throughout April and May) with an exclusive preview of Natacha Atlas' forthcoming album on World Village as well as tracks from Salsa Celtica (Discos Leon), Spanish Harlem Orchestra (Six Degrees), Rachid Taha (Wrasse), Manu Dibango (Global Mix) and Tinariwen (Independiente).
 
Other features on the podcast include Jan Fairley's Beginners Guide to flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucia, playing excerpts from albums 'Luzia' (Universal) and 'Cositas Buenas' (Universal). Nigel Williamson brings us 50 years in World Music with music by Fela Kuti (Wrasse), Ladysmith Black Mambazo and the Bhundu Boys.
