June 2010 issue of Songlines (#68) is on sale in the UK from April 30

The June 2010 issue of Songlines is on sale in the UK from April 30 and includes our regular Top of the World CD with ten tracks from the finest new releases from around the planet. There’s also a selection of five tracks in tribute to Charlie Gillett and the issue includes a bonus CD, pre-release edition of Jim Moray’s new album, In Modern History – a Songlines world exclusive!
The covermount CD includes tracks from flamenco cantaora Mayte Martín; Israeli qawwali singer Shye Ben-Tzur; young Scottish band Breabach; the reggae mixed sound of Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars and the Colombian coastal sounds of Aníbal Velasquez y su Conjunto, among others.
