The summer has clung on to the changing seasons this year as we experience a strangely warm November. But it seems we haven’t let go of it in spirit just yet either. Global Local, organisers of the latest event to land in our inbox, London Remixed Festival, have extended the summer for a little longer.
Billed as “the one and only end of festival season” LRF are this year piloting the event with the promise of an official launch in 2012, which will span several venues across the city. Even on its small scale this year, the event looks to be an exciting and bizarre occasion.
On Saturday November 26, Richmix in Shoreditch will be home to the pilot festival featuring indoor camping areas, musical portaloos, disco lifts complete with DJs inside, and burlesque Morris Dancers. Of course it wouldn’t be a festival without some musicians. I’m not familiar with many of the billed artists but a quick google search brings up the prospect of some gems. It looks like this might be a festival of discoveries.
Here’s a little taster to warm you up.
If this gets you going then Global Local have a treat in store for you next year.
