East London plays host to a music festival featuring artists from around the globe
From Wednesday August 14 until Saturday 17, Wilton Music Hall will be alive with music from all over the world. The Global Beats Festival will feature a vast array of musical styles from Senegal to Texas, Zimbabwe to Greece, and from Turkey to the UK.
Tickets for the four-day festival are available now at www.globalbeats.org, including a limited number of VIP tickets that give you a balcony view with a private bar and waiter service.
Artists performing at the event include Algeria’s Seddik Zebiri & The Seeds Of Creation; Senegal’s kora maestro Kadialy Kouyaté; Texan-born singer/songwriter and multi-instrumental virtuoso Rodney Branigan; Family Atlantica’s Venezuelan singer Luzmira Zerpa; veteran Zimbabwean DJ Wala Danga; the Congolese band Kasaï Masaï; Tokyo’s DJ Koichi Sakai; and the multiple award-winning Afro-beat ambassador Dele Sosimi and his Afro-beat Orchestra.
