WOMEX, the annual world music exhibition, is on the hunt for 150 volunteers to help out throughout this year’s event in Cardiff
WOMEX 13, the international world music showcase festival, will take place between October 23-27 across three locastion in Cardiff, with 60 concerts featuring over 300 artists open to the general public. This year’s event is hosted by Cerdd Cymru: Music Wales, with Songlines columnist and 6Music DJ Cerys Matthews directing the music showcase.
WOMEX are seeking volunteers to help throughout October 21-28. Volunteers are required to do all manner of jobs over the festival week, including being a runner, helping out on the doors, working on wristband exchange or in the production office, helping technical crews at both venues or assisting with delegate registration. In exchange, volunteers will receive an access-all-areas wristband for the entire day-time event and night-time music showcases/DJ sessions, discounted night-time festival tickets for friends and family, event-branded clothing, free bus travel between venues and sustenance.
