Contemporary flamenco star Buika will perform at London’s Barbican in October in support of her latest album
Following the singer’s sold-out show at Union Chapel in April as part of London’s La Linea festival, Buika once again returns to the capital this October.
With the release of her sixth studio album, La Noche Más Larga, the Miami-based flamenco singer continues to be at the forefront of the flamenco scene and consistently invigorates the genre. Reviewed in the current issue of Songlines (Nov/Dec 2013, #95), the album effortlessly crosses the Atlantic in style, from Sevilla to ‘a smokey salon in Old Havana.’ Click here to purchase tickets.
Support will be provided by Gambian kora player and composer, Sura Susso. Watch Sura performing for Songs from the Shed at this year’s Larmer Tree festival in July.
