Jean-Paul Samputu and Namvula are among the acts performing as part of  Amahoro at Rich Mix

Taking place at Rich Mix in Shoreditch on September 5, Amahoro (meaning Peace) is a collaboration between the Celebrate Life Events and the Rwandan community in London. They hope to present a message of peace and hope after the horrific genocide that occurred in Rwanda 20 years ago.

Currently embarking on his Forgiveness World Tour, Samputu sings in various styles ranging from traditional Rwandan, Afrobeat,  soukous, rumba and gospel.

Also making an appearance are Zambian/Scottish folk songwriter Namvula (pictured), UK based Rwandan musician Jean Brown and spoken word poet/comedian Mr Gee. Rwandan food will be served from 7.30pm and there will be a host of traditional DJs and dancers.
