The annual BFI London Film Festival returns from October 8-19

The festival shows 248 films at 17 venues in London, and this year has a strong focus on music related films. Below you can watch the trailers of just a couple of films that will be shown over the 12-day period.

Song from the Forest
This film delves into the music of the Central African Republic’s Bayaka pygmy community.


A compelling story of a gifted young drummer (Miles Teller) who finds himself challenged by a brilliant mentor (J K Simmons) intent on pushing him to greatness.


Björk: Biophilia Live
A concert film of Björk’s groundbreaking Biophilia project, which reached its climax with an ethereal show at Alexandra Palace.


Nas: Time is Illmatic
An absorbing and stylish documentary about the inception and process of one of hip-hop’s defining albums.
