The progressive bluegrass quintet Punch Brothers add two new dates to their UK tour and will perform at London’s Southbank Centre on January 22 and 25

Comprised of mandolinist Chris Thile, guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Paul Kowert, banjoist Noam Pikelny and violinist Gabe Witcher, Punch Brothers mix traditional bluegrass with alternative rock. With three successful albums under their belt, Punch Brothers have also featured on the soundtracks to the Coen Brothers’ film Inside Llewyn Davis and blockbuster The Hunger Games.

In January they will present new songs from their forthcoming album, Phosphorescent Blues, produced by T Bone Burnett and due in early 2015 (to be reviewed in the March issue, #106).
