Angélique Kidjo comes to London for the holidays
Christmas in London will get a blast of tropical heat in the form of Africa’s premier diva, Angélique Kidjo when she performs at the VSO Christmas Carol Concert. Songlines’ Best Artist and two-time Grammy-award winning Angélique, known for songs like ‘Afirika’, will be accompanied by the talented Inner Voices youth chamber choir. Other performers include Indian violinist Jyotsna Srikanth and the City of London Choir conducted by Hilary Davan Wetton. “I can’t wait to sing in this magical setting at such a special time of year. I’ve seen how volunteers change people’s lives around the world so it’s an honour to support VSO’s work,” said Kidjo.
The concert will take place at the Methodist Central Hall in Westminster, London on Thursday December 10. Tickets are now on sale from £15 and can be booked via Ticketsource or by calling 0333 666 3366. For more details about the concert, please visit www.vsointernational.org/christmas-concert.
