A tribute to the late virtuoso flamenco guitarist will be held at London’s Barbican in December
An evening dedicated to Paco de Lucía, the master guitarist who popularised flamenco worldwide, is due to take place at the Barbican Centre on December 9 at 7:30pm, featuring Latin jazz pianist Chano Domínguez, Andalusian guitarist Niño Josele and nine of Paco de Lucía’s closest collaborators.
De Lucía was one of the world’s most exciting guitar players, radically modernising flamenco in the 70s and introducing it to an audience well beyond his home country of Spain. The evening is a dedication to the innovative performer, and a great chance to witness his spirit and energy exuded through the event’s music and atmosphere.
