Sola Akingbola performs with his band Critical Mass at the National Theatre on December 30
Jamiroquai’s percussionist, Sola Akingbola, is set to perform at the National Theatre’s Temporary Theatre on December 30, as part of a series of intimate gigs that are taking place throughout the month.
Critical Mass is the live project led by Akingbola; the group released the EP Generation Vex earlier this year, and are currently working on their forthcoming album. Critical Mass mixes together all of Akingbola’s influences – from acid jazz to his Yoruba roots – for a heady mix that is very much an eclectic London sound with a West African flavour.
Tickets cost £15 and can be bought at the National Theatre’s official website.
