Australia’s Black Arm Band to bring the fascinating story of their heritage and homeland to London’s Barbican Centre in May

An evening dedicated to the indigenous culture of Australia is due to make its European premiere at the Barbican Centre on May 4 & 5 at 7:30pm, featuring members of the Black Arm Band, who perform a mix of traditional and contemporary music.

dirtsong is a musical journey inspired by the works of Aboriginal Australian writer Alexis Wright. Set against a lavish backdrop of stunning natural landscapes and poignant text, the show transports the audience to a world that is rarely seen. It is also the Black Arm Band’s third major project since their formation in 2006, and another that reinforces their passion of the quest for social change through the medium of music.

Tickets are available for £15-25 (plus booking fee) through the Barbican website, and by entering the promo code ‘050516’ when purchasing you are entitled to a 20% discount.
