The August/September 2011 issue of Songlines is on sale in the UK from July 22 and includes our regular Top of the World CD with ten tracks from the finest new releases from around the planet, plus a second free CD showcasing music from the Netherlands. The Top of the World CD also includes five tracks selected by the world’s official number one beatboxer, Shlomo.

The Top of the World CD includes tracks from the Hungarian tambura band Söndörgő who appeared at the recent Songlines Encounters Festival; the latest Saharan Touareg blues from Tamikrest; guitar and ritti duo Juju; star-studded Cecil Sharp Project tribute to the English folk collector; the debut from World Routes Academy alumnus and oud player Khyam Allami; and Québécois traditional folk trio Genticorum, among others.

The 75th edition of Songlines (April/May 2011) is on sale in the UK from March 18 and includes our regular Top of the World CD with ten tracks from the finest new releases from around the planet, plus five tracks selected by Welsh singer-songwriter and presenter Cerys Matthews. The issue also comes with a bonus 2nd CD of music produced in France featuring the Gotan Project, Cesaria Evora, Moussou T and Susheela Raman.
