There are literally hundreds of Fela clips out there, but early footage is rare. This eight minutes of live mayhem shot by Ginger Baker in Biafra in 1971 is totally electrifying and the sight of the youthful, testosterone-charged Fela dancing with his queens may just be the most erotic experience to be had in world music. The Afro-beat legend lives on.
