Once an oil platform electrician, Farrell came late to playing music – and there are certainly many who are glad he did. Champion singer at the All-Ireland Fleadh and admired by such legendary names as Christy Moore and Paddy Keenan, he has risen quickly through the ranks. His latest album, True Born Irishman, was released in 2016 to much critical acclaim (a Top of the World in #124) and is filled with honest passion for the songs he has collected.
