Nigerien guitarist Bombino; Topic Records’ The Voice of the People compiler Reg Hall; archivist Christopher King; South African guitarist Derek Gripper; and the Songlines Music Awards nominations

The May (#117) edition is on sale in the UK from today. The free exclusive 15-track covermount CD features ten tracks from our latest Top of the World albums and a guest playlist by French composer and musician Yann Tiersen.

This issue also includes a bonus CD featuring some of the acts to perform at the biennial Yorkshire Festival, which returns to the county in June.

Featured on the Top of the World CD are new tracks from Konono No 1 & Batida, Argentinian nu cumbia singer La Yegros and Orcadian singer-songwriter and guitarist Kris Drever.
