There’s very little music from the Pacific islands of Vanuatu available internationally, so the debut from dreadlocked singer-songwriter Tio Bang came as a welcome surprise – and something of a revelation. Singing in a gently expressive voice in English, Pidgin and the local Daakaka language, he’s a talented multi-instrumentalist.
