Fatoumata Diawara Joins Gorillaz For New Song Machine Cut
Animated heroes meet African Queen on their follow-up to 'Momentary Bliss'

Damon Albarn’s cartoon caperers Gorillaz have teamed up with Malian musician and recent Songlines award-winner Fatoumata Diawara on 'Désolé', for their latest Song Machine release (check out the video below).
Gorillaz drummer Russel offered the following statement about the collaboration: “Making 'Désolé' with Fatou was a real moment for me, you know… She’s an African Queen. This lady made the song what it is, beautiful, like life.”
