A legend of South American music, Totó La Momposina arrived in Paris as a refugee from Colombia in 1979. This collection spotlights the first 20 years of her European recordings. Some of the material is previously unreleased, some rescued from long unavailable vinyl. All of it showcases her rich voice and rhythmic arrangements of traditional dance music and ritual songs.
