Arooj Aftab has bagged her first Grammy, taking home the gong in the Best Global Performance category for her song 'Mohabbat' in Sunday's awards ceremony. The doleful track features on her beguiling 2021 meditation on loss, Vulture Prince, set to be reissued in an expanded edition via Verve Records this June.

Among the other Grammy winners were Béla Fleck, whose star-studded My Bluegrass Heart landed him the title for Best Bluegrass Album, Rhiannon Giddens and Francesco Turrisi, whose They're Calling Me Home took Best Folk Album, and Angélique Kidjo who won Best Global Music Album for Mother Nature.
