Brazilian singer Ed Motta releases his 14th studio album, Behind The Teas Chronicles, on October 20 following a five-year break. The album has already seen its first single release 'Safely Far', in June this year.

Nicknamed the "Colossus Of Rio" Motta says that with this album, "I wanted to create something truly unique. Movies and old TV series have always had a profound impact on my imagination and musicality. I wanted to pay homage to those influences and use them as connecting points to craft an album that is not only musically engaging but also takes listeners on a nostalgic and cinematic journey. It is an ode to freedom and a commitment to the art."

On this latest album, Ed Motta sings in English, telling stories on a variety of topics. Its recording process was truly international: the band recorded in Brazil, backing vocals were done in LA, and strings and horns were recorded in Prague and Detroit respectively. Considered one of Brazil's premier jazz/funk singers Motta sold over 300,000 copies of his 1997 Manual Prático para Festas, Bailes e Afins album, and has rarely looked back since.
