Celebrated singer-songwriter and forefather icon of alternative Latin rock, Manu Chao has unveiled his latest single, the first track to be taken from an upcoming album released via Because Music later this year.

With its sanguine credos, plump with positive vibes, neighbourly blessings and calls for fortitude in the face of a faltering world, ‘Viva Tu’ renders its love via the hypnotic sway of rumba, bringing people together – a fellowship and community spirit fully on display in the accompanying video, available to view below – through the infectious mantras of multi-layered vocals and some natty Spanish axe licks.

“‘Viva Tu’ is first and foremost the love of all my neighbours, it’s a rumba I wrote for my neighbours as well as others from various places,” says Chao about the song. “It’s about accepting yourself as you are, Viva Tu!”
