Jane Harbour (Spiro)

The composer and violinist with the minimalist folk group Spiro, Jane Harbour, was recently diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and is seeking funds to enable her to continue with her work. The debilitating health condition threatens her life and her music, and she's created a Go Fund Me campaign to help fund treatment. Donations can be made here: www.gofundme.com/f/treatment-for-jane-spiro

For more information about Harbour’s condition and the treatment she needs, watch the video below. And stay tuned for the next issue of Songlines (#156, out March 6), where we speak to Harbour about Spiro's forthcoming collaboration with Steve Reich's favourite singing ensemble, Synergy Vocals.
