WOMAD announces first names for 2026

WOMAD have announced the first artists for the inaugural year at their new Wiltshire home, Neston Park. Oumou Sangaré, Barrington Levy, Greentea Peng and José González lead a line-up that is typically diverse and all-encompassing

Other names announced include ganavya, Mádé Kuti, Benin International Music, Portugal’s Ana Lua Caiano, South Korean bluegrass band Country Gongbang, Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek, Portuguese fado singer Gisela João, Afro-Colombian hip-hop group Kombilesa Mí, Ghanaian singer Lamisi, the astonishing Pakistani benju player Ustad Noor Bakhsh, Palestinian rapper Tamer Nafar, folk duo Spafford Campbell and Uganda’s Nakibembe Xylophone Troupe.
